CIRCA is a web-based application designed to support conversation and social interaction for people with dementia or other cognitive impairments. The application features a rich selection of images and music from different eras, organized by theme, which stimulate conversation and a sense of community. CIRCA is the result of a collaboration between Linköping University, Karolinska Institutet, FORTE, and the Swedish Dementia Center. The project has been led by researchers with extensive experience in dementia and communication research, including Christina Samuelsson, Anna Ekström, Elias Ingebrand, and Lars-Christer Hydén.
