Intercultural Collaboration in International Teams
In international teams, people with different cultural backgrounds often bring different perspectives, ways of communicating, and expectations to the workplace. These differences can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or challenges in communication and collaboration. This session provides an introduction to how cultural differences can influence communication, decision-making, expectations, and ways of working in international teams.
The Session
Led by Lars Liljegren, PhD, the session combines research-based perspectives with practical examples of intercultural situations that can arise in international organizations. The session includes an interactive workshop where participants work with case studies based on common workplace situations. Together, they explore how cultural factors may influence these situations and discuss different ways of understanding and approaching them.

About the Researcher
Lars Liljegren, PhD, is a researcher and teacher at Linköping University specializing in language, culture, and intercultural communication. He teaches intercultural communication to international students and university departments, with a focus on how cultural differences can influence communication and collaboration.
Lars holds a PhD in Language and Culture and has extensive experience in teaching and working with intercultural communication in academic and international contexts.
